Traffic statistics reporting
TennisConnect uses Google's Server based software to track trends and identify patterns across the collective of all TennisConnect Powered sites.  We do not track individual individual web sites or "personally identifiable" usage information.

In order for you to track your web site statistics we recommend Google Analytics (it's free).  We have simplified the process of implementing Google Analytics and eliminated the need to know where to paste the tracking script in the source code.

Please follow these instructions for creating a Google GA (Google Analytics) account.  NOTE:  TennisConnect supports the the compliance of our software with GA, however we do not support GA directly.  If you need help implementing or interpreting Google Analytics please request an Authorized Service Provider to help you.

Note (editorial):  When you dive into Google Analytics you will see a number of articles and helpful advice.  With no due respect  to Google, keep in mind that their articles are written for a broad audience and opinions vary on some of the underlying assumptions about what is "good" and "bad".  For example Google considers it "bad" if your "bounce rate" is high (percentage of visitors leaving after one page view).  We disagree.  If your home page delivers the information that your visitor seeks - then you are providing a great experience in just one page view.  There are several other "tips" to increase your page views, but we at TennisConnect are not convinced that a visitor should have to go through 10 or more pages during a visit to your site.....  Just a  passing thought ;-)

Prerequisite:  You should have already created an account with Google WebMaster Tools and verified your site ownership.  Here's how.

1)  Create an account on Google Analytics.  This is a five step process.

2)  Paste the Google tracking code in TennisConnect:
Basic Settings | Web Site Settings | Option # 12 - Mota Tags and Google Stats:

3)  You may need to wait a day for Google to start accumulating your statistics.  Once you log in to your Google GA account you can run any of the GA reports and views.  Example:

Step by Step - opening a Google Analytics account  (as of January 2010)

Log in to your Google Account and Choose Google Analytics (you may need to search for it).

Enter your web site address and accept the terms of use:

Generate the tracking code and copy it:

Paste the code into TennisConnect (here's how)
