Search engines crawl your web site and try to figure out what your page is about by "reading" it.

You can help by completing the "meta tags" which gives you the opportunity to tell the search engines what your page is all about.

You can also help by choosing strong Page Titles.

Keywords & Description:
You can assign keywords "site wide" or you can assign unique keywords for all or selected pages on your web site.

To assign keywords site wide, choose Basic Settings | Web Site Settings Option # 12 - Meta Tags and Google Stats.  Your "Keywords" are the phrases that a consumer is likely to search on.  Your "Description is the introductory / summary paragraph about your web site that the search engines display in the search results.

* You should write your own Description - as this is the messaging that will presumably cause a visitor to choose your link over the other choices on the page.  Include a brief message "selling" your site, and provide additional convenience features such as listing your phone number as well.  We have provided a down-loadable (and modifiable) file that you can use to model your keywords (see tips below).

Page Titles
Your page titles are important.  Search engines place a weighted value on keywords and on page titles.  There is special programming code behind the scenes in TennisConnect to identify your page titles as Titles (in SEO terminology).  Use words that make sense to your web site visitors, but also will help the search engines understand what your page is about:
