Domain Scares
Internet regulations provide domain owners with a great deal of flexibility in your selection of service providers - which is a wonderful thing for a free market economy.  It can be confusing to all but the most experienced domain administrators, which has created an environment for unscrupulous advertisers to lure you into their domain registration services.

To Protect Yourself
If you receive an unsolicited email or hard copy "invoice", please call us at 866-686-3036.  Forward the email to support@tennisindustry.org.  We can tell you if the solicitation is legitimate.

You can check your domain registration details online anytime by visiting http://whois.domaintools.com/ and entering the domain name is the search box provided.

Whois will provide you with the following information:
  • Registrant (Company or person who owns the domain)
  • Expiration Date (renew before this date)
  • Registrar (the company you go to in order to renew this domain - * Please note, if you registered your domain name through TennisConnectDomains.org this will say "Wild West Domains" - that is our reseller provider)
  • Administrative Contact and Administrative Contact email - this is the only person who can move your domain to a new hosting service and name additional technical and billing contacts.  YOU should be the Administrative Contact for the domains you own.
  • Note: you can also hide this information by choosing "private registration".  This will prevent your personal contact information as a domain owner from public listing.  Tio learn more about Private Domain Registration, click here.

  • Finally, you can see where this web site is hosted by looking at the Name Servers.  A Neme Server is the name of the Server that hosts your web site (there are always at least 2 - a primary and a failover).  The Tennis Industry Association's Name Servers are listed below:
