TIPS & TRICKS – CLONE / EDIT / CHANGE ENROLLMENT QUESTIONS

Here are a few common circumstances that TennisConnect addresses uniquely for our industry.

On events with a program or season that also have “drop-in” characteristics on specific days, take a few moments to think through before adding to your eCalendar.

Rule 1) in TennisConnect event enrollment is controlled by the category.

Rule 2) editing the Category is not a good idea once it is in use, or you can generate bad enrollment data.

So how do you establish events with both seasonal enrollment and drop in characteristics?

Answer:  You can edit “Future dated instances” of a recurring event.  At first, this is very useful if you have a change in time, location or instructor.

You may change the Category for the future dated instances (make a new category and attach it to the event, don’t edit the existing category or it will apply to all events using that category ID).

Go to the Horizontal Navigation Bar | Calendar | Monthly view – and choose the first instance of the event that you would like to edit.  Make sure it is the first instance you wish to change from the initial instance, not simply the first instance (that will change everything).

Choose the second radio button:

Then proceed to scroll down to the form and change what needs to be changed.  You may change the category to a non-enrollable category to prevent “in process” enrollment, or to support “Drop in” enrollments.

IF you have used the special notice to call attention to online enrollment, you should change the message to something more appropriate, such as “This program is currently in process, please call 123-123-1234 for current openings).
